Nutzungsbedingungen – „Event & Seats“

Stand: 3. November 2026

2. Was Event & Seats ist

Terms of Use – “Event & Seats”

As of: 3 November 2026. The German version above is legally binding; this translation is for your convenience.

1. Provider and scope

Event & Seats (app for Android and program for Windows) is provided by Schlegel Dienstleistungen, owner Eduard Schlegel, Am alten Marmorwerk 27, 59556 Lippstadt, Germany, email: dienstleistungen.schlegel@gmail.com. These terms apply to any use of Event & Seats. If you download or buy the app via Google Play, Google Play's terms apply in addition.

2. What Event & Seats is

Event & Seats is a tool for planning events: seating plan, guests, tables, prices and payments. The app calculates and suggests – you make the decisions. Seating suggestions are only suggestions; check plans, amounts and lists yourself before your event.

3. Free and “Pro”

The app is free for up to 30 people per event. “Event & Seats Pro” removes this limit; it is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The purchase runs via Google Play; Google handles payment, invoicing and refunds. Any statutory right of withdrawal and Google Play's refund rules remain unaffected. Promo codes for Pro have no cash value and must not be sold.

4. Your data and backups

All data you enter stays on your device only; the provider has no access to it and cannot restore it. Please create a backup regularly (Options → “Save backup”) and keep it in another place, e.g. your cloud storage or your PC. You are responsible for your guests' data, including under data protection law. See the privacy policy.

5. Right of use

You may use Event & Seats for private and business planning. The app and its content belong to the provider; you may not sell it, distribute modified copies or pass it off as your own software. Included open-source software is subject to its own licences (see “Privacy & licences” in the app).

6. Liability

The provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act.

In cases of slight negligence the provider is only liable for breach of an essential obligation on which you may rely (e.g. that Pro works after purchase), and then only for foreseeable, typical damage. For free use the provider is – except for injury to life, body or health – only liable for intent and gross negligence.

For lost data the provider is only liable to the extent the data would also have been lost with regular backups (section 4).

Your statutory rights in case of defects of a purchased digital product remain unaffected.

7. Updates and changes

The provider continuously improves the app and may change features as long as its core – planning events and the features bought with Pro – is preserved. If these terms change, the new version applies to later versions; the date is shown above.

8. Law and jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer living in another country, you additionally keep the protection of the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country. For merchants and legal entities, the place of jurisdiction is Lippstadt, Germany. The provider is neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
